Challenge

Henry Mayo desired to deploy more than 200 Wireless IP Phones to their clinical staff but did not want to expand their aging SpectraLink/Polycom system due to cost and performance issues.



Action Taken
L7 assisted Henry Mayo in the deployment of a Cisco-based communications platform designed to integrate with and ultimately replace their existing NEC PBX switch (which is supported by Nexus IS whose headquarters are in Valencia, CA). More than 200 wireless phones were deployed on a Cisco CUCM environment and training was provided to enable Henry Mayo to continue to deploy and grow the system. Follow on engagements had L7 implement additional Cisco UC systems including CUP, Unity Connection, CER and others.

Results
Henry Mayo is now well positioned to expand their use of IP communications enterprise-wide as their budget allows. They also asked L7 about further integrating the Cisco wireless phones into their application base, enabling critical information to be pushed to clinicians in a timely and useful format.
