West Georgia Health System (WGHS) faced significant change with the construction of a new Patient & Specialty Services building and other elements of their Master Facility Plan.WGHS needed to expand and optimize their data and voice infrastructure to support new business requirements.It was also necessary for them to consider advanced technologies and discover how they could be utilized to help improve the efficiency and quality of care while remaining sensitive to the bottom line.
One of these technologies is mobile communications integrated to the Nurse Call and patient monitoring systems to improve patient/caregiver communication and clinical responsiveness.As new technologies become available, it is critical that WGHS be positioned to capitalize on the positive benefits they can have on the quality of care for patients and the health of the business enterprise.
